I was born and raised on an Eastern North Carolina tobacco farm, with an early passion for nature, music, and art; my father was a tobacco farmer and my family comes from a long line of tobacco farmers. Even though the wish to have a family and the need to provide has not diminished the patience to pursue those adventures and dreams. As I mellowed and grew as an artist, I realized that to reach the goals that I wanted, I had to paint what I was familiar with, which was the way of life I grew up with.
